Reed
& Co. Architecture
is a small design firm with offices in the Joseph How House, built c.
1815 next to the waterfront in Portland, Maine. It is truly an inspirational
setting from which we provide quality and sensitive service to our clients.
We remain a small studio to give the best professional and personal service
possible where principal staff members work on every project. We are fortunate
to have in our portfolio a variety of building types and interiors which
have enriched our professional experience allowing us to take on many
exciting design opportunities.
Our firm is dedicated to innovative, creative problem solving and design
solutions while balancing an appropriate aesthetic within budget.
Interior
Design is a strong component of our list of services. Interior services
include planning, design, finishes, custom millwork, lighting, signage,
storefronts and furnishing consultation. The entire three-dimensional
space is considered in addition to integrating mechanical, electrical
and structural systems.
Reed
& Co. Architecture appreciates the historic nature of the built environment.
It is always an exciting challenge to cherish and preserve our environmental
inheritance with modern technology and also acknowledge and honor our
place in time for future generations.
Budget, quality of workmanship and life cycle are as important as a design
solution. Reed & Co. Architecture is committed to managing projects
thoughtfully and thoroughly. Please contact us for more information.
